Toddler - Physical

Gross Motor Jumping, crawling, rolling, climbing, running – toddlers are naturally driven to explore their ever-advancing physical abilities.  Our indoor and outdoor environments are designed to provide a variety of spaces that allow our teachers to stimulate and support the development of a toddler’s stability, balance, and coordination.

Fine Motor Stacking, squeezing, drawing, throwing, scooping – eye-hand coordination rapidly develops during the toddler years laying the foundation for dexterity skills to be refined in preschool and beyond.  Our teachers present an array of activities that naturally encourage the development of these skills within the context of play.

Self Care Feeding, dressing, toileting, and other physical care routines mark the beginning of self-care independence.  Throughout the day our teachers assist children in a way that teaches toddlers to increasingly take part in caring for themselves.
