Gross Motor – Skipping, dancing, pulling, swimming, hanging – Our teachers challenge our pre-kindergarteners through cooperative based activities that continue to refine their control over their bodies.  By incorporating an awareness of others, our curriculum heightens a child’s consciousness over their own actions.

Fine Motor – Writing, measuring, folding, catching, painting – Pre-Kindergarteners have the capacity to sustain attention for longer periods of time allowing them to explore the ever increasing complexity of their skills.  By presenting a range of activities, our teachers set goals that meet each child’s needs in scaffolding the development of these abilities throughout the day.

Self Care – Sweeping, wiping, organizing materials – Pre-Kindergarteners are beginning to hone their self-care skills and minimal assistance is needed for meeting basic needs.  Our teachers now focus on teaching children to further contribute to keeping order and cleanliness in their environment.
